Then came a dream. . . . .
Once upon a time there was a boy and a girl. Each had dreams of a large family of their own and a spouse to spend their lives with but really there wasn't that "One" sitting in front of them. One day the boy's father decided to play match maker. You see his son was becoming a soldier but he knew that every soldier needs a reason to come home. So while in a chat room he told a sweet girl to message his son. The boy and girl went on a date that really started the course for the rest of their lives. Never had either had so much fun just being with someone. The distance was great but both had a sneaking suspicion that they had met destiny. The girl went to the military ball before the boy deployed. Both wondered at times if they had missed their shot but kept in touch. Then a miracle occurred. The boy came home safe and he knew as all battle worn men do that his deepest desire was to be a husband and father. He reached out to the girl and they began to date seriously. Now no one has ever accused the boy of being a hopeless romantic but with nerves in his belly he casually let a proposal slip as they prepared a Christmas morning gift delivery. Two months later wedding bells rang. They bought a large house and dreamed of filling it with tiny feet, silly giggles, and sleepy heads. They tried for that family only to find out that their family would have to grow in a different way. They were devastated and some dark moments followed. No couple ever wants to hear those words. They decided to become foster parents and as they embarked on that adventure became even more convinced that they wanted to be forever parents. They fell in love with their charges and finally shouts of "Mom" and "Dad" were heard throughout their home. They started this journey knowing they would have to say goodbye but loving like they wouldn't. One day that goodbye came. Their hearts were broken as they did the hardest thing imaginable and said goodbye to the little gifts that had warmed their hearts. The boy had seen unimaginable things in war yet that one moment was the worst moment of his life. So this sweet quiet boy and the shy beauty who claimed his heart decided to adopt. Unfortunately adopting can be a long and expensive venture and so it is up to us to help them finally gain the dream they have been craving for no couple deserves it more!! Please donate to Blaine and Heather and help their dreams come true.
